Buckeyes are a confection made from a peanut butter fudge partially dipped in chocolate to leave a circle of peanut butter visible. Or you can make these into peanut butter balls, which are completely covered in chocolate. For holidays you can even add seasonal candy sprinkles on top of the chocolate to fancy them up a bit.
Melt butter and while hot, stir in peanut butter.
Mix well and add powdered sugar & rice krispies.
Work in with hands until consistency to form balls.
Microwave Crisco & chocolate chips in 30 second increments stirring in between until smooth melted consistency.
Dip balls individually in melted chocolate with toothpick.
Cool on waxed paper.
